During the mid-game break, Suryakumar commented on his performance, saying, "In T20 cricket, a hundred was incredibly amazing
but Hardik advised me it was equally crucial for me to bat until the end.
"We were pleased to achieve our goal of a 190–195 score. In the sixteenth, we agreed that Hooda and Washington were the only two who should follow
if we wanted to go deep. In the nets and during all practises, I've been doing the same thing.
India bowled New Zealand out for 126 to win the game quite handily in the end. Kane Williamson, the captain, led the home team
in scoring with 61 points from 52 shots. Deepak Hooda, a part-time spinner, was the best Indian bowler, recording outstanding figures of 4/10.
For his outstanding batting performance, Suryakumar was once again named Player of the Match.
